When I get my period, I seem to always get sick when I wear a pad, sick to the point that I vomit. I think it may be the chemicals in the pads are thir any alternatives?

Switch brands or go to a health food store and try something that is organic. There are organic tampons available. IMO they don't work nearly as well, but they might work for you.
I have never had a problem with pads but certain brands of tampons cause irritation from the string. Good luck.

Sure you can be allergic to the chemicals in the pads... you can be allergic to just about anything if you want.

There are tons of options out there... rewashable cloth pads, organic disposable pads made of unbleached cotton, the DivaCup or "Instead" cup... for that matter, it could be a specific brand that gives you the problem. Try changing brands, and if you are using scented (deodorizing) pads give them a miss.

You could be allergic, but you could just get sick from your period, it can make you vomit sometimes. There is also a medical condition that you can be allergic to all sorts of chemicals, your doctor would be able to help you narrow this down to which one is making you ill, then you would be able to find a brand without that chemical in it, and your problem would be solved.
I would mention this to your doctor though just to be on the safe side. Hope you get it worked out.

A period can weaken your immunity and make you feel ill its quite common for a women to feel a little sick nauseated on their period because of this but it could be the pad but nasaution doesn't sound little a allergic reaction trust me i've had my share of those.

I had a similar problem at one point (minus the vomitting)...My doc suggested I switch brands...There are certain brands that hypo-allergenic (Try "Always"...works for me).

Try red raspberry leaves (tea) for the nausea. Excellent anti-emetic!

If you really think it is your pad they make cloth ones that you can reuse. Just google it. It is worth a try.

Yes, because there is a lot germs inside your blood so you need to change more often. Maybe you can buy another brand
