Why would you want to be like everyone else? That would make you boring and usual! Take it as a positive! And if you make sure the "different" is good things, then it's great! And do you really care what that person thinks anyways?

It depends on the tone of there voice and there body language, if they had a pleasant voice I could take it both way, and if they were crude about it then I would think negative, but I always get a second or third opion though!
