I am a nice person, and people like me, but I just don't really have friends. I spend most of my free time at home. Do other people have this problem? I hate to go out alone so I don't often meet people. I am a pretty girl, and everyone I work with likes me allot, but when it comes to after work, I have no life. Any suggestions?

To make friends isn't easy. friendship is like love in a relationship. It takes time and grows day by day. We all can have acquaintences but real friends you can hardly count them on a hand. You should go out and meet people that have thing in common with you. What do you like to do when you have ffree time to spend???? Don't worry dear you will sure make some good friends in life but be careful and try to see the inside of a person. There are a lot of selfish people out there!!!!! A big hug!!!

that sounds just like my life! No kidding. Its like you get on well with people at work but you dont see them much out of it, I dont for various reasons like working shifts, people having their own kids, partners etc! I am so the same I will not go out alone, and so do not get hugh chances to meet no people and really get to know them well. Its all good people saying go to clubs get a hobby, but I dont fancy turning up alone (again)!

It's been said if you can have one true friend you are a very lucky person. I know..in my case, by not being willing to share of myself....feeling no one would be interested in my boring life...I limit my ability to make friends, at least close ones

It's hard to trust people. A general rule:"Fool me once shame on you, fool me again ... I messed up." It helps to follow this guideline in cases of commitment to friendship when you're not sure.
Also, respect the fact that you need time for yourself.

I don't have any friends. People are so two faced these days and selfish. Also once you reach a certain age everyone has their own interests.

I've had alot of problems like that. Don't look for friends. let them look for you. My best friend is really rich but she didn't used to have any friends. One day I sat next to her and we had a conversation. within a month I was invited to parties and all that stuff, so let friens find you. :D
