i work with alot of producers.......and to be honest alot of them are not that good at what they do.....i wouldnt trust anything over the internet......maybe shop around studios in your home town and get some sort of apprienticship to really learn how to use the equipment properly......pay them to teach you if possible......unless your just trying to mix down on ur computer......but if looking to have an actually studio....you should subscibe to producer magzines and you'll get alot of info from there.......hope i helped.......w

If you don't want to go to school to learn it you'd be much better off buying the "Dummies Book" and reading whatever else you can find on the subject and then applying what you've read hands on by either making your own music or seeing if you can do some free production work for a band in your area...Also it never hurts to approach engineers at a recording studio and just tell them that you're interested in music production...With all the studios I've recorded in I've asked hundreds of questions and always got real cool and informed anwswers... Good Luck.
