Well firstly you could face a punishment regardless of the truth behind the poster - It's called defamation of character. Also if it is proven not to be true you could be sued for Slander...
You don't state what this person has done but it comes across as a childish act fuelled by revenge. I suggest you have a good think about it before you do it...
Lastly you say you know it to be true and yet you won't put your name to it , Seems a bit cowardly to me.

come on! you can get revenge in a less obvious way than that! im sure your victim will have the last laugh when you go down for 5 years. it could also backfire if everyone finds out it was you.
its probably best to start a few rumors!!! i think that has more potential, plus then, by the time youve said it, it is already 10 times worse than it was, and you havnt even lied! HA HA HA (evil laugh)

The worst thing I could think of is who ever Your slagging about catches You and murders You slowly in a torturous way. That's pretty severe though and I pray to God most unlikely. If it is a possibility that You hadn't considered though then I'd rethink the whole thing. Good luck in all that You do!

One thing, true or not you could ruin some ones life; Two that person could pop round your place and kick the sh*t out of you; Three you could end up in court your self for defamation of character even if you are sure he is bad
