No, it's not right to sue. The doctors did everything in their power to:
First: Keep you alive and healthy
Second: Keep the baby alive and healthy
Your comfort or discomfort is not a factor in this equation.
It's b/s like this that has caused healt care to skyrocket in the past 20 years.

I had to consider this option once and ruled it out. I had a case of placenta praevia which the hospital didn't pick up until I was rushed in haemorrhaging. It was a very near thing both for the baby and me and the hospital team were very jittery at the thought of being sued. As, however, we were both all right at the end of it all, I didn't see any point in sueing. If it's any comfort, the second time round I was handled with great care, always saw the specialist at the ante-natal clinic and felt that they were being almost neurotic about my welfare and that of the baby! Once you have been through the wars in this way, they mark your file, so I'm told and take very great care next time! Not least because the limitation period for the first botch-up hasn't expired yet!

You are alive and well and have a healthy child people, also you have access to FREE health care, accidents happen, the same happened to me when I had a C section, nineteen years ago; all over the world live in appalling conditions and situations and truly suffer from post traumatic stress, what ever happened to British stoicism, put this experience behind you and love and care from your family and stop worrying about suing a foundation that is dying under the stress of being sued.

I don't think the blame and sue culture we have today is helpful.
We should accept certain risks with any medical treatment. These people are experts doing their best for people, but they are not perfect and we only inhibit their ability to work with this litigious society we are creating.
They handled a difficult situation in the most effective way they could and delivered you of a healthy child.Job well done.

everyone reacts to situations and medication differently. I'm not a lawyer, but I'm not sure if you can sue.. people can die under anesthesia-it's not the doctor's fault. People's body react to things differently and they don't know your body, or how it is going to react.. all they can do is make sure they fix the problem, which sounds like they did.. you are healthy and so is your baby. I'm sorry you are having such a hard time recovering, but hopefully with counseling you will be back on your feet in no time.. but you can talk to a lawyer, I just don't know that it's the right thing to do

It's not easy suing a hospital unless you have a really good case. You need to speak to a Lawyer, he will be able to tell you and most will see you the first time for free.
My husband has a case now with a hospital and it's been 3 yrs we've had 3 different lawyers in that time.
Good Luck and sorry this happened to you.

He shoulc touch a criminal expert, yet while he can no longer suitable now, you may start up finding one for him. the only different actual looking difficulty to do would be to indicate out the well being care expert's mistake to the scientific institution, and ask them to conform to reimburse/no longer charge you for care pertaining to to the errors. in case you choose greater suitable than that (neglected artwork time, etc.), you will would desire to pass to courtroom, and since the scientific institution has a criminal expert, you will desire to too. How did you discover out he have been given 4x the quantity of morphine he became meant to? you may would desire to teach that, and a doctor/nurse who stated that to you won't prefer to repeat it below oath. If the scientific institution admitted it, they're in all threat going to attempt to do the main appropriate difficulty, so which you won't would desire to sue. nevertheless, the criminal expert is a sturdy theory. in the event that they do the main appropriate difficulty without being compelled, they're going to ask you to sign something to get the money, so which you will need somebody to look it over to verify you're actually not making a mistake by utilising taking their supply.

Your first step is to file a complaint through the complaint department at your hospital and also contact Patient Advice and Liaison Services and take it from there. You could settle this matter outside of court.
Try this link , you may find it useful

I don't support malicious suing or just to get money. If you have a genuine concern that this could happen to someone else. Then you could take steps to find what went wrong. The hospitals themselves have mechanisms of investigating mistakes

This sounds like a difficult case. The damages will be low because you don't have any permanant physical damages.
You could try for compensation for post traumatic stress. Call a lawyer, they can evaluate your case
