I'm in San Fransisco in the morning only on Saturday and I want to do some shopping. I'm looking for unique finds, not chain stores. Is there an area where i can get funky but not streety clothing? To give you an indication of what i like, i love shopping in paris where you can get clothing with a twist.

Another nice area is the Marina District.

To the north (parallel to Lombard St) is Chestnut Street; to the south (parallel to Lombard St) is Union. Both have very nice areas that have a blend of franchises as well as independent eateries and retail shops. For parking, there is public structure on Lombard @ Webster (it is located behind the US Post office).

If you are visiting, you can park at the structure and take a walking tour to Fisherman's Wharf (via Fort Mason Park). It is a nice walk with great vistas and a lot of photo ops. After visiting Fisherman's Wharf, you can backtrack, and go to these other two streets for shopping and a meal (if you didn't get filled up at the wharf).

All points mentioned are also easily accessed via city bus.

Haight-Ashbury is good but I'd also recommend Union Square if you're looking for something a bit more upscale:

Haight-Ashbury has some cool shops. Pier 39 is a great place to shop, too.

Union sq. has some uppity shops so buying there can get a touch severe priced, in spite of the actuality that you may search for deals on the city's huge Macys that is fantastically relaxing to purchase in.
