The What Not To Wear ladies on the BBC show have helped me alot. I am 40 and wear a size 2-4 because i work out...I also dress like i am 25 instead of 40. I think if you feel like you look good you can wear whatever you want. Dressing conservatively at work is best though, you don't want any office gossip just because you dress sexy. The low rise jeans that show thongs are a no-no now that's what I read in a fashion magazine. I hope this helps. Have Fun!

ohhh I know! I know, hopefully you have this store near you The Buckle they have great fashion, great jeans and sweaters, I love it once I have started shopping here It's the only place I go now, instead of wasting my time looking at 100 different stores with nothing to show for it, very friendly service, the other day I received a hand written post card thanking me for shopping there, and if you like they give you good opinions when you do try on the clothes. It makes trying on clothes actually fun! all different size jeans to fit your body perfectly, trust me on this one, Oh I hope you have The Buckle near you. It's in the shopping mall where I am at. If not and you don't mind shopping on-line they have a website www.Buckle.com Good Luck!

JC Penney or Kohls would be good places to start - Lands End is known for great quality classic non-trendy clothes - Newport News also has classic jeans for a LOT of figure types and in a lot of finishes/colors

Boot cut. I am trying to get my mother out of tapered leg jeans, but she won't have it! I can relate, because I am 40, but juniors clothes fit me better than misses and you have to be careful not to look like you borrowed your teenage daughter's clothing. No huge flares though, and not the destroyed look. Have fun shopping!!

Medium to dark blue, straight leg or bootleg are probably most flattering, as they are slimming. Don't get high waist or hipster, somewhere in between would probably look best. Maybe with a little detail here and there, with a cool belt would look fab. HTH : )

You should get dark jeans with a lighter shade in the middle as it flatters and end elongates your legs. Always buy top quality jeans as cheap jeans will look washed out.

JCpenney and Macys have nice jeans there that could be worn by any age really. I would get a plain colored (without the holes of course, hehe) and i'm sure that you would look great in them. good luck!

People seem to feel so threatened by other peoples' style choices. I think you should wear what you're comfortable in. I have everything from boot cut, to cargo's to casual and dress for pants. Just stay away from those low riders where your butt crack shows.
