There is not a big difference in their talent. Lara holds the record of highest number of runs scored in first class cricket, 501 not out and in test cricket,400 not out both in or against England. While Sachin holds the record of most numberof ODI Hundreds 40 and test Hundreds 36 highest ODi runs. The first man to pass 20000 international runs and the list never ends. While looking at their career graph, both had their ups and down. Both went to lead the nation but not very successfully. As a player both are outstanding on a day. They can dominate any attack at any part of the world. Lara being left hander has natural eligance while Sachin is unmatchable. To me Sachin shines better and is better than anybody else today in world cricket. Sachin surpasses Lara in handling pressure. Sachin has entertained huge crowd almost all the time he weared blue dress. He has been there for more than 65 % Indian Victory. He has earned the recognition of Sir Don Bradman who considered Sachin as his next generation. What else? Sachin has never misbehaved out of the field like Lara had outing on beaches of UK and was found lying and having fun with English Models. Sachin never played his part in politics while Lara is responsible for early failures of Carl Hooper as his second innings as captain. Sachin has murdered all bowling attacks but has gained applauds from the same opponents like Shane Warne. Sachin has fullfilled the saying that "Form is temperory but Class is permanent." He is the best batsmen in all forms of cricket. Probably Sir Don in this era would be habing same average as Sachin has. Hence I can bet that he is the best player the world has ever seen. On a given day if not with bat, he will perform with ball. Remember Australians given a treat with 5/32 in One Day when they toured India in 1998. That day Sachin failed with bat but bowled heroically to win man of the match. With his leg spins, googlies, off cutters slow medium pace, he can bowl according to climate and pitch condition. Did Lara ever bowled consistently as Sachin did? Never. Proteas still can't wipe out from their memeory the magic last over by Sachin in Hero Cup SemiFinal of 1996.Sachin always give more than 100% even if he fails to produce a gem of an inning, one can feel his presence. Today in SA, we are hoping that if Sachin scores, we can revert the history.
Salute to master craftsman!

Though many people consider Lara the best, I consider Sachin as the best as he holds the records for most centuries in Test as well as One Day Internationals and also most runs in One Day Internationals. Though Lara has been very successful in Test Matches, he has not maintained same form in One Day Internationals. Further, Sachin is a utility bowler also and younger to Lara in age..

Even Brian Lara consider that Tendulkar is greater them him.
Tendulkar is a best in both form of cricket, ODI n TEST.
No one is greater than Tendulkar in ODI cricket and in test cricket Don himself recognised him his successor. Records tell truth. No cricketer influence this game more than Sachin.
Finallly Tendulkar is a true cricketer who eats, drinks n sleep cricket.
U cant tell this about Lara
