Try pulling off the knobs and washing in ammonia. Be very careful what kind of sprays you use, especially if the stove has a pilot light. WD-40 is highly flammable and I know people that have gotten burned badly using it on their stove. Check the directions of any spray chemicals for flammability. (If you remove the knobs monthly and wash with your dishes you won't have the problem.)

The component or burner is the resistance. it particularly is the point of resistance is what produces the warmth. you are able to't replace that so the only way you are able to administration the quantity of heat coming from the burner is to swap the ability on and stale. The knob does that via changing the scale of time the ability is on or off to the burner. If the knob is grew to become to extreme the ability is switched on continuously and as you turn it in direction of LOW, the scale of time the ability is dropped on the burner is decreased. The knob is purely a timer, switching on and stale at distinctive periods.

Take the control knobs off and clean them, it's called soap and elbow grease. Keep up with the cleaning. This is an area of the house that needs constant cleaning due to spills, etc.
