explaining your request and ask them for advice. You will have to provide proof that you are related to S/L West before any information on him will be released.
In addition to the names of the various bases on which he served, also provide his Service Number and, if known, the inclusive dates of his service in the RAF.

Have you tried Friends Reunited? They have a section on RAF bases and if you know when he was at any one of them, even if he hasn't registered, you could contact someone who was there at the same time who may have known him. Good luck.
