Hines Ward is NOT over-rated! He's a wonderful player, he gives his all to the team, and he's a very loyal player (his contract dispute last year was due to the fact that he wanted a longer contract so he could be a Steeler for longer!) and you can tell, he LOVES to play the game, he almost always has a smile on his face, and he's thrown some pretty good blocks lately! He's definately not over rated . . . you know who's over rated? T.O! If Hines Ward was over rated, he wouldn't be so good!

Anyone who says that Hines Ward is overrated doesn't know what they are talking about. He consistently plays well. It is just a matter of getting the ball to him early and make him involved in the game. He is very good after the catch, second to T.O.

I don't think so. He's a terrific athlete, not just a terrific football player. I think the issue this year is that his supporting cast is lacking when compared to last year. Opposing defenses are able to load up against him now because there aren't many other threats to worry about - ala Barry Sanders in Detroit. I still believe he's able to do a great many things and hurt his opponents in a variety of ways.

I don't know I don't really hear that much about him. Come on he has been quietly been doing his job. He catches the ball and can run with it no problem. He can block and is proably the best blocking reciever out there. Tell me what is there to say he is over-rated because I'm not really seeing it. I am a Steelers fan though so I admit I would be biased.

If you consider the fact that he is probably when of the better run blocking wide outs in the NFL today, coupled with the fact that he has solid receiving skills (hands, speed, agility), it is pretty hard to call him overrated. He's not an explosive play wideout, but he sure as heck is efficient in more than one aspect.

if he had the size of TO or Randy moss he'd be unstoppable

Heck no. Hes the Steelers all time leader in receptions and possibly yardage. What other receiver can put a LB's lights out and still score?

For fantasy football he is bad. But as a real player he is in the top 3. 100% every down. I wish he played for my team.
