I love all the Star Treck series and films but I'm sorry I'm not sure of the answer. I know that Captain Picard had had a crush on Beverly for ages (but she was married to his best friend), so did she gain feelings for him and want to know if he still felt the same way? - In one episode he travelled between time frames and in a possible future he visited he found that they had been married and divorced.

It seems implied in various episodes that she was wanting to tell him that Wesley was his son. But this was never confirmed or revealed in any of the 151 episodes.

It was a what if question. "What if we weren't on this ship do you think we could start anew?" Wesley is growing up. She is on her own and so is he. they had a relationship before her marriage. Why not?
