maybe you need to call a plumber and/or the gas man.
or i think the boiler may need replacing, the noise could been that it is damaged.

once you check out the breaker panel, you notice an 'orangish' ingredient? that's in all probability A 'floor Fault Circuit Interupter. it is going to holiday if there is something incorrect with the water heater. extra effective to depart it off and make contact with a plumber to examine it. Your close by ironmongery keep (Lowe's and homestead Depot) would furnish you with names. The heating factors DO flow undesirable after a era of use. they'd get replaced, yet can now and lower back be problematic to do. you moreover mght ought to evaluate the age of the water heater. Is it previous, rusty, dented, or in undesirable looking challenge in maximum circumstances? Get a sparkling one. New water warmers are plenty extra ability useful. talk, lower back, to the hardware human beings. they'd inform you the style and length of heater which you and your loved ones will want. except you have youthful little ones at homestead (under 15 years) that's advisable to think of approximately including a timer to the heater no be counted if that's replaced. It takes purely half-hour to thoroughly warmth a tankful of water. I even have a timer on mine and run it for an hour interior the morning and an hour interior the nighttime. The fee reductions is significant! via ways, a sparkling water heater ought to value under $3 hundred for the heater and installation.

you must have a combi boiler ..have seen this before .afraid you will have to get a corgi engineer out . this has happened to me twice now ... what happened was the 2 plates that the water pass between have chalked up or bits of dirt in there ...so hot water does not get time to heat but your Central heating will appear fine ..try turning hot tap down low and the water should get warm for a while ...good luck

Sounds like your 3 way zone valve has packed up
The solenoid is usually unreliable, check to see if it operates when you turn the heat on, if not it has an override lever that will allow you to move it. I have had this happen on several occasions, and have just changed the solenoid, leaving the valve in the system.
seems most likely thing to look at first

Your water heater probably has a pilot light that is out. You many need to have the valve replaced. In our area its possible to call the gas company (that services your area) to check it for free. They will tell you whats wrong with it.
Your central air/furnace is OK. it doesn't effect your water heater, Unless it's your gas line to your house was clogged you may have problems in both units... but typically they don't interact with each other.
