i know mine hasn,t been changed for 7 years, is it damageing my system?

it's best to drain, flush out the water every 5 years, make sure u use a sludge remover before you drain it, the instructions should be on the container.

It shouldn't need changing if it had the correct amount of inhibitor put in on installation. Its a job for the summer if you feel you want to do it. On the lowest part of the system is a drain valve where you can connect a garden hose and run it outside .

It depends if you live in a hard water area or not. Wouldn't do any harm to change it though, except you might be adding a whole lot more calcium to the system.

If you have the proper amount of scale inhibitor in your system then you don't need to change it , However it does no harm to flush your system out each year adding new scale inhibitor when refilling

changing the water regularly would add to the problem of build ups in the system.- usually it happens only when necessary

Best bet is to shut it down and wear longjohns evryday till spring comes. Oh and get an electric blanket as well, for those cold nights.
