I am broke, I am getting ready to move out in february, and I have no furniture. I have an ok job, and I will be living with my boyfriend. Should I rent furniture from rent-a-center, or rentway? I am not sure what to do.

Your best bet for furniture is to go to St Vincent dePaul or some other church thrift store. Since you have plenty of time yet, if they do not have anything you want 1 week maybe they will the next. I bought my guestroom furniture from them for $50.00 and it is pretty nice furniture. I got a bed and dresser for that price.

mRenting will cost you 100 times More than buying. If you are moving in with your b/f, shouldn't he have furniture? You ready don't need much furniture - a table, a few chairs, a bed (or at least a mattress) and maybe a bureau. I would try yard sales for everything (except the mattress - eww)
February is a long way off. Be patient. It will all come together

Okay, if you're broke, you can't rent "or" buy furniture, right? But
if you have the money to rent, I wouldn't. Go to a thrift store and a lot of times they have pretty nice furniture for low prices. Renting is a rip-off, and if you miss a payment, they can come & get that furniture. When my husband & I first got married, we went to a thrift store and bought some things untill we could afford new furniture. Whatever you decide, good luck.

Renting is insanely expensive in the long run. Check out freecycle.org because a lot of people post furniture on the local groups to give away. It would be much smarter to get some older furniture now and wait to buy new stuff with cash in the future.

No. Rental centers are a huge rip-off = outrageous interest, you end up paying 5 times the cost of the piece you rent.

Thrift stores, Salvation Army, Church sales, yard sales, donations from friends....lots of other alternatives....I've used heavy cardboard boxes for tables, be creative.

good luck
