I admire his passion for cooking, I dislike his mighty than thou attitude that he seems to have taken on this last year or so.

That's a really tough one because part of you wants to really hate him for being an irritating faux cockney as you so rightly say. However, on the other side, what he has achieved in terms of the school meals and getting failing young people into careers is brilliant. Can I dislike the man but respect his actions please.

His heart's in the right place and he does cook some really impressive but simple stuff. I wouldn't call him a faux cockney either - he's an Essex boy and proud of it.

Mockney muppet with his heart in the right place but brain and personality straight from a horses butt.
If his food was that healthy I'm sure he'd be slimmer and his teeth wouldn't look like the fence outside a haunted house.

I used to think he was a royal pain in the neck but I really respect him now. He seems like a really nice guy.

i admire jamie oliver he has put forth the importance of a good healthy diet and he has put fruit and veg into the front of peoples minds. It means organic farmers will have a better time i think....as more people will want to buy better quality food. bless jamie oliver and i hope him all the best in his career!!

he is a knob and acting like the saviour of school meals in the UK and the US is just to improve his career, along with the biographys etc who knows maybe he'll make an xmas song this year??
why are some of you on about him "putting forward a great diet" he is over weight himself its a complete sham.
