Based on the number of violation notices I've recieved for baseball related answers, I would say no. Some of my answers are stupid, some humorous, some sarcastic, some serious. They are, however, still all answers. That's the whole point of this site. You get a wide variety of answers.

This site is intended for people to ask serious questions and get serious answers. Those of us who know some things would like to get the points we deserve for the time and effort we take to answer instead of seeing yahoos get points for being plain silly. This goes for all categories of the Yahoo Answers site, not just the Baseball category.

Every human being is born with a sense of humor. Ever see tiny
babies laughing or smiling before they even know how to talk. The baseball world has a lot of funny guys, Yogi Berra, Bob Uecker, Casey Stengel etc.

Baseball players used to have a sense of humor. Like Yogi Berra:
"This is like deja vu all over again."
"You can observe a lot just by watching."
"He must have made that before he died." -- Referring to a Steve McQueen movie.
"Think! How the hell are you gonna think and hit at the same time?"
"You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you're going, because you might not get there."
"I knew I was going to take the wrong train, so I left early."
"If you don't know where you are going, you will wind up somewhere else."
"If you can't imitate him, don't copy him."
"It was impossible to get a conversation going; everybody was talking too much."
"Slump? I ain't in no slump. I just ain't hitting."
"Nobody goes there anymore; it's too crowded."

listen if people didn't get offended by every little damn thing then my answers wouldn't get reported or people wouldn't give me a thumbs down when i say that the new york yankees suck and are overrated and are everything that's wrong with baseball and have bought every championship they have ever won but it is what it is some people are too damn sensitive and need to get a grip on reality

It's just not Baseball players it's people in general.
People take life way too seriously. If they took a step back and deep breath they would smile more.
