OMG! Who cares if the Wii won't be as good graphically and if it doesn't support HD! This gen of consoles is about how you FEEL when you play! The graphics are good enough. The PS3 is going to be better than the PS2 but after a while, it will feel the same as a PS2 and get boring! I don't see what the hype is about graphics, thats all I hear about is, "No, don't get a WII because its GRAPHICS suck compared to any Xbox or PS3!" And I agree with -religiousjedi- answer the question or don't respond at all!!!! Geez!!!!!!!
Sorry to get sidetracked........To answer your question, YES, it will be able to connect wireless even when your Wii is turned off in standby mode. Its called WII connect 24

I hate how people don't answer the question...*cough*the_mr911 *cough*...Anyways, the Wii will be able to connect to the internt with wireless internet, even going so far as to surf the internet via a free download of the Opera Web Browser (free for 6 months). Supposedly, it's all free.

I cannot answer your specific question. But I wanted to answer to help you avoid making a mistake by purchasing the Wii. It is not going to be a good gaming system. The graphics are going to be sub standard and it won't even support HD. It pales in comparson, severely, to the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Go get a Xbox 360.

yes it will have full wireless 802.11b/g capabillities. if you have a wireless router your set to go. and everyone just casue you dont agree with certain consoles doesnt mean you should go around "answering" ppls questions by saying how much you dislike it.

ok i think it should support it but the wii is lame and so is x-box 360...bill gates can go whipe his butt with 100 dollar bills lol but halo 1-3 sucks along with x-box and the 360 so save up for a PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!cuz its the best with blue ray disc graphics so dont be cheap boi by the ps3 ohhhhhh and x-box sucks
