We are tired of worrying about whether we are offending some individuals or their culture.

We are not against immigration, nor do we hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Britain.
Our Country is welcoming immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers.

However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.

This idea of Britain being a multi-cultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity.

As British citizens, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle.

This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who sought freedom.

We speak English, not Arabic, Chinese, Japanese or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, you should learn the Language!!

We are, in the main, Christians, not Buddhists, Muslim or Islamic, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this NATION and this is clearly documented.

It is certainly appropriate to fly our beloved Union Flag proudly. If this offends you, then I suggest you consider a move to another part of the world as your new home, because this is a part of our CULTURE.
If our traditional marches offend you, then you should seriously consider staying in doors. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change.

This is OUR COUNTRY, our land and our lifestyle. Our Government gives every citizen the right to express his or her opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life.
We highly encourage you take advantage of our great British freedom.

THE RIGHT TO LEAVE

Would Britain still be the Country of choice and still be British if we continue:-
To make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries that came to live in Britain because it was the Country of Choice?

Think about it…….. All I have to say is, when will something be done about:- OUR RIGHTS ????????
We celebrate Christmas, but because it is not celebrated by everyone, we can no longer say Merry Christmas, now it has to be Season’s Greeting.
It’s not Christmas vacation, it’s Winter Break. Isn’t it amazing how this winter break ALWAYS occurs over the Christmas holidays?

We’ve gone so far the other way, bent over backwards not to offend anyone.
We are now being offended. But it seems that no-one has a problem with that. !!

Um, Rod T, you do realise that you're talking about things that happened many generations ago?! How can you suggest that people nowadays deserve to pay for what their ancestors did way back then? That's ridiculous.

Are you American? If so, with that logic, you would deserve to have some people come and "discover" your country, steal your food and take over your land completely, banishing you to little reservations in the desert.

OK I agree to a point on this but don't you think you have brought this on yourselves.
In the reign of the British Empire or further nations that were taken over had to abide by your rules in their own country.
They were not allowed to wear their warrior traditions or even the war lock that was worn with pride if they did they were put to death.
Even their beliefs were taken away from them again this implemented the death penalty, they were no more than savages and treated so.

These people had a problem they could not practise their beliefs or in any way relate to their heritage, was it seen to offend them NO not by their suppressors, was their rights taken into consideration NO.

Their freedom was not even given to them so why NOW are you bickering on about your rights today.

Their own language was forbidden to speak, so whose right is it to say whether they should do this or that they are remembering their own cultures look at the American Indians nearly completely wiped out did anyone think of them NO, even today they still live in reservations.

Remember "What goes round comes around" maybe if these countries had been left alone this problem would not be yours today think about it.

No Princess I am not saying that, and no im not american only stating a few facts for the questionaire, but if i hit a nerve then i apologies.
Im pleased that cultures can carry on with their heritage and yes the past has gone.

I was so annoyed at the comments made by the questionaire I guess i lost track of the plot, I will say this to the questionaire though "Were you happy with the 25yrs of misery in N.I." that you now have to take this onto another Sectarian level.

I can certainly understand some of your frustrations and anger. I can tell you that I have lived all over the world and I am a passport holder of 3 different countries. I have only recently moved to London. For me, no matter where I go, the key is to try and fit in with the country's values, laws and culture. I can say that I feel very grateful and privileged that I have been able to come to London and be part of your society here. I try and show this through adapting an fitting in and contributing to the greater good of this nation.

I find it difficult to understand why others do not do the same. I often wonder why certain nationals and people with very strongly different religious beliefs choose to leave their home lands. I think when you leave one place for another, you must ask yourself, Am I flexible enough to accept new ideas and values? or should I stay in my country and help to improve it or go to a country more simmilar to my own?

You talk about this country, but people from this country went around the world changing if not destroying other people's cultures. People like the BNP march down the street blaming blacks and foreigners for every thing that goes wrong in their miserable lives. Is this exclusive to white people or should black people in South Africa form political parties saying 'whites out', or is that such a bad idea!

I think you are a bit over the top but I do agree in principle. they teach the children about davali and ramadan but nort easter or christmas. that is up to the perants but surely the same should be said of every religion or none. this was a christian country and those who came from others came becouse it was good but they are expecting us to change it to much.

The whole thing with the veils I mean fair enough let them wear them but why then should christians have to remove a cross.
I don't understand why in giving them their rights we are slowly losing ours as british citizens.
As for living in a multi cultural society, if it's multicultural then they have to accept our holidays and tarditions just as we do theirs.

OH and

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Whilst agreeing in principle I have read this speech before word for word. It was originally attributed to the deputy priminister of Australia, Although I expect its an urban legend! who actually said it first
