pot smoking really took off during the viet nam war. the soldiers then were introduced to some really good stuff over there and brought it home with them hidden in what ever they could dream up.

You know it's been around so long that no one genetically engineered it , so it had to grow on it's own . Then one day some one smoked a little said " OH YEA DIS BE SOME GOOD STUFF MON " and the rest is history
