I prefer the classic rock; Queen, Pink Floyd, Scorpions...
But unfortunately I think the teens prefer the pop music. That's why it's called pop(popular)...

I'm going to venture past the two you suggest and go with what is mostly shown on MTV. Hip Hop. Sure, some alternative rock is making it through, but if you notice... even some pop acts (ie, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguleara) have conformed to a more hip hop theme of musical style.
