I think the spelling is slightly feminine, but not the name. There are many famous male Mackenzie's... Mackenzie Astin, Mackenzie Gray, Mackenzie Crook... All men... Plus, the nickname Mac is VERY masculine (IMO).

spelled that way it looks like a girls name. How about adding an E to the end? I know several boys with the name Makenzie

Absolutely. Makenzi is a girl's name. Try something like Matthew, Mark, Michael, Mason. Just quit reading from the girl name lists ;-)

Though the name is for both genders, I think it sounds feminine. You could name him Mac instead as a shortened, but more masculine version. i love the name makenzi for a guy but in their school years they may get picked on for a slightly 'feminine' name. but i think it is cool for a boy.

It does sound a little too feminine for a boy.. Glad you realized it b/f you gave him the name!! Other M names:: Matthew, and that's all I got!! Sorry.. Can't think of any other ones.. Good luck

Maybe is you really wanted to name him makenzi you could call him mac for short. Or maybe even name him that. I also like the name mark!

My GFs daughters name is makenzi kenzi for short yes its a girls name do'nt do it to that poor boy
