I have a NAD amp, and my girlfriends son was pressing the on/off button in and out many times. Now it does not work at all. I have checked the plug fuse and it is fine. Has anyone got any ideas how i can fix it/what is broke? It weighs a tonne and it would cost alot to send off for repair!

Check all the other switches as well, eg the source select and A/B speaker switches, he may just have turned off the input or output.

see if you can take the cover off would be handy if you have a volt meter check either side of the switch to see if it is working you maybe able to fix this yourself, obviously the switch is not made for constant switching happens quite often

There will be a transformer on the input, it’s very likely that this is the problem – it may be that the transformer has popped or, if you’re lucky, the in-line fuse just before it.

Why do you have to send it off somewhere to be fixed? Can't you take it back to where you bought it from?
