I love The Three Stooges...I don't give a hoot for the other guys. (You're the ONLY woman I've ever known who admits that she likes The Three Stooges! Even Helen Howard, Moe's wife, couldn't stand watching his movies.)

the three sets of comedy teams are so different! Laurel and Hardy were very gentle comics. Their comedy for the most part was very middle america, with situations that were very plausable sometimes. The Marx Brothers were caustic. And some of Groucho's dialog was very sharp, aiming at society's primness, the government's behavior, and people's prejudices.
And then there were the three stooges. I was acually put in front of the tv and they were used as a sort of babysitter when I was very young. That might explain soooooo much about who I am today. But enough about me. The stooges were fantastic. The original ones, the "curly" years as they are called, were really golden times. I went from loving Curly most. Then Moe for his leadership; and he did seem slightly more intelligent than the other two. And then I loved Larry, just because. I understood when Curly passed away, they replaced him. And then replaced Shemp with CurlyJoe. And I did love them all for their uniqueness. Where else could you see people get hit over the head repeatedly with hammers, drilled in the nose with power tools, and they still survived so well. Not a drop of blood or gash on any of them. It was like live action Warner Brothers cartoons; another amazingly violent and delicious passtime.

The Marx Brothers or the three Stooges, mandatory to be in any movie jointly although ! i in my opinion liked the three Stooges extra helpful by some ability, by way of fact they have been rather "much less politically humorous" whilst in comparison with the Marx Brothers. even with the indisputable fact that, the two team of "comedians" have been fairly smart so as to entertain generations !
