but dress up theme ~ any ideas that are unique, not that much cash needed, easy to do & wont make you not want to face the office again on Monday after.... (the alcohol has tat covered...)

If this is for you alone dress in something comfortable that uses some of the colors that you observe
If it is for the office suggest everyone dress in the colors of the holiday they observe-not all observe Christmas and you may find some in white and blue for solstice, green, black& red for Kwanzaa, blue & cream (hanukkah)
A great pair of black dress pants with a festive (ie not cheesy tie) may do as well for a man or for a woman a nice skirt with a festive blouse.

Characters from films/tv - then people can just stick on a tux for James bond/cocktail dress for bond girl or do something a bit more fun like captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Carribean or Nany McPhee! Fun and not too embarrassing

How about going to a costume store and get a mask that looks like Ebenezer Scrooge and go from there? Or, look really "dapper" in a black top hat, black tux, white shirt, red tie, and red cumberbund. Make your socks black and shoes also. Carry a cane and drape it like a candy cane (not traditionally--black, white,red, black, white, red--for the stripes so that it all will blend).
