I guess you should know I am a white female. I always excelled in school, never had any problems until I started work in the oil industry. That really is a mostly male dominated field. I was referred to as "little lady", sweetheart, darling and had to really fight and prove myself to be taken seriously. In the long run, it did motivate me and I was very successful. No one can make you feel inferior unless you allow them.

I am biracial, half white and half black. i grew up in a blakc country. i look more white so people would stare at my mother and i and wonder if she was my maid or my mother? this had a huge psychological effect on me because i was ashamed of my mother and her color...as soon as that shame came as soon as it left because i realized that no matter what she is my color. now i'm a pseudo activist in my university campus when anything of race comes up. i am very proud of having 2 races! i have the best of both worlds! if you asked about specific age maybe at 5 years old

Being a former gender biased male, it all changed with the birth of my first daughter and began to see the subtle discrimination usually involving sports, jobs etc. My second daughter just reinforced my changed attitude. I am still a male of course just a changed one.

When I was applying for college admissions. They made the standards for my admissions much tougher than those for blacks and hispanics. Similar descrimination occured when I began to look for employment after college. Hopefully one day people will be judged on their merits, not on the color of their skin.

Couldn't exactly say what age. I was in early primary school (in Australia), so somewhere around 6. The Aboriginal girls had this unpleasant habit of yelling 'white s1ut' at me.
