Burning of fuels which powers industry creates pollution. However, polution levels have severly declined since the beginning of the industrial age due to pollution control technology. Additionally, although industrialization has caused some pollution, it also have given us an advance standard of living... medicine could be developed, you could count on your heat coming on in the winter, and the availablity and cost of food have decreased dramatically. All of these things outweigh the negative side effect of pollution.
