That wasn't all he said. He also said that one day we should explore outer space together and discover new realms of existence, that kind of thing.

So, no, he wasn't right, but only insofar as he would have resented having his message reduced to 'we are just a virus with shoes'. If that were the case, then his efforts to enlighten us would have been futile, and I don't think that he thought they were. And I don't think you think they were, either, or you wouldn't quote him.

It's actually one of the dumber things I've ever heard from him. Quite funny, though.

Nope, i'm going to flow with that. quite some human beings have an exaggerated experience of self magnitude, a ought to have faith we are of great magnitude, a objective, an inflated ego. they'd't cope with the actuality we are actually not demigods, merely little parasites of the earth. we are so dumb and egocentric we don't even shelter our very own habitat.
