They're really important to me because I'm the mom to four young children who are 8,6,4 and 2, and my husband is in the Military, so our weekdays are really busy and we don't see a lot of each other. The three older ones are in school until after three, and my husband isn't normally home until after 5, and by the time we help with homework, eat dinner and and clean up, it's 8 and time for the kids to go to bed! So we really love the weekends and all try to catch up and spend family time together. It also gives my husband and I a chance to stay up a bit later and just hangout and talk, watch a movie, or have a date night.

I work every other weekend. The weekends I'm actually off are extremely important to me. That's the only time my daughter and I don't have to be anywhere. No school or work. This is supposed to be my weekend off but I have to work Saturday :'(
So needless to say I'm not a very happy camper atm.

Only importance to me is
50% on top of hourly rate for Saturdays, 100% for Sundays
Then again I work shifts so have to do the weekends when it's my turn

HIGHLY IMPORTANT. It's the only time that I get to spend it with my family and friends plus of course doing church-related ministries without any interference from work.
Plus the second day, which in my case is a Monday, is usually my "ME" time. I usually spend with myself as my sole company :)

in the winter months I work them so they aren't very important but when the weather is nice I really try to get outdoors & enjoy the whole experience, as I age I really need my time in the sun, as a young man I worked all the time.

My weekends are very importand to me. It gives me time to do everything i wanted to do but couldnt during the weekend.
