For. The new generation needs to get exposed to oldie goldies in a new, refreshing & innovative way. I for 1 haven't seen films like Don, Sholay (yea i KNOW!!!), etc. And thanks to the coming of their newer versions I am eager to watch them.
That's why I'm totally for remakes of old films.

Bollywood has every right to remake movies as much as Hollywood does.
