You can have snow AND sunshine at the same time! Then it looks really beautiful, with the sun's golden light sparkling on the white snow, and in the shade snow looks blue-ish because of the blue sky. The snow looks soft and makes lovely cracking sound under your feet. The trees covered in snow look magical, especially fir trees. When it's cold enough, snow is dry and you can brush it off your feet easily and stay dry yourself. Frosty air is very healthy by the way, and it gives you rosy cheeks. Plus, you can make a snowball and chuck it at your firends for a laugh.

I really miss the winter snows we used to get in Northern England.
Call it challenge or adventure, but I used to get very excited when I looked out and watched a blizzard; knowing that I would have to dig the car out, change to winter tyres and then.....have a blast!
Anyway, when I once got stuck in heavy traffic due to snow, I built a snowmen, and all the kids jumped out of the cars to help. It ended up being about 12ft high, and made it onto television!
Snow is fun, and the colder it is, the better.

Snowball fights, snowmen, snow angels, sledding, skiing, snowmobiling, going for a walk during a snowfall and looking at all the beauty as the snow begins to cover the trees and ground, and of course..cuddling up with a nice cup of hot chocolate and someone special in front of a nice fireplace to warm up :)

Something about it falling in the light, something almost hypnotizing. The fresh, new look it gives the world. The way the sunlight dances off of it. The joy of watching the kids building a snowman.
The funny things kids do when it's their first snowfall and you take them outside for it. Applies to puppies too.
The first snowfall for my kid, when she could get out in it, we built a snow "smurf". It was a snow man with a smurf behind on it. I had to laugh, I just couldn't help it. She looked at me and told me it was a "big papa smurf". (She was about 2 I think).

Snow strikes the three ages of man into relief:
When you're a kid, it's fun to touch and play with.
When you're older, it's pretty to look at and helps you remember the past.
In between, it's misery to drive through and plan around.
Peace
