no you don't need to be jealous TO your boyfriend's best friend.

but you do need to be jealous OF her.

if you use the jealousy the right way it'll help you keep him but it's true; they've got a different relationship that you can't access and it's eventually just down to the quality of your man whether he'll do your wrong or right.

i hope you chose well baby, good luck!

It is sometimes good to be jealous then that way you will be aware of anything you think is too far and you will alwys have your eyes open. If you think she goes too far sometime then you should open up to your boyfriend about this and discuss it with him and tell him how you feel. He will probably explain things and keep in mind your feelings in the future then he will know not to go too far with her in the future.
PS there is ofcourse the possibility that she is evil and trying to make you jealoous or testing your friendship but probably not.

if she was only a friend, then she wouldn't be sending sweet text messages to your boyfriend. Sounds like she is hoping for more. I'd ask her why is she making the moves like a girlfriend when she is supposed to be only a friend.

Hey I've been in this situation before and it sounds like you need to tell that wench her place. You are going out with him alright? If she wanted him, she should have made the first move instead of trying to take him when CLEARLY you have him. Tell her to back off, if that don't work, make her back off.

if they are really friends then you have nothing to worry about as my best friend is female and my partner is kool with this, but if this is a newish friendship and she is saying things like that she will take it further it all depends on how he is, i love my friend but not "that" way and never can, can he say that if not then sorry you dont stand a chance, sorry

I wouldn't trust her. Maybe her feelings run deeper and it is possible she hasn't admitted it to herself.
