can this really happen to different types of animals mating and producing youg? ok so we've all heard of Mules and ligers but a cat and a dog! is it a dat, dot, cag or a cog?

There is really only one page you can rely on to be "real" in the sun;)

There is no way this is scientifically possible. If you look into the genetics of both animals, Dogs have 78 chromosomes (39 diploid in the sexual meiosis) and cats have 38 chromosomes (19 diploid in the sexual meiosis). The cell division between the two is impossible since the combination of the games would equate to a 57 chromosome final cell division. It just can't happen.

The only thing I can think that the sun is reporting is if some one possibly implanted the cat but even still that is just a ridiculous thing to think about in it self.

Guess the sun needs to get out some attention to sell their paper. I am very happy that you question what you see. I would take this paper as an amusement factor and not as fact.

Have a great day.

You are reading the Sun, how can you expect the news to be real? Of course is not real!
Once I had a dog and my brother bought a kitten, when the dog gave birth she adopted the kitten too and was feeding it milk with the rest of the puppies. I think that's as extreme as they get.

it can happen but they have to be alot more closely related than a can and dog
for example a horsse and donkey can mate
or a lion and tiger to create a lyger(yes the thing off of napolean dynamite is real)
thing is the offspring can't reproduce any furtherr afterward

The fact that you called the SUN a newspaper was your first mistake. You read it - that is your second The fact that you admitted it was the third. Even allowing you some credence for your ability to read and write, your fourth mistake I cannot forgive - you actually believed something that was written in THE SUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone probably had a dog who had puppies that they gave to the cat.

Apparently, The Sun is only useful as a replacement for toilet paper.

No. It can't happen. They have a different number of chromosomes, so they can't breed, by definiton.

If you honestly would take anything The Sun takes seriously, you really need to get your head checked.

You would think that instead of wasting space on that they would have a column for the boys in Iraq to write home or something - or I dunno - come up with something that can help them - instead of coming up with some proper shite like that......

obviously - someone at THE SUN is being paid far too much and has too much time on their hands.
