Sounds fab-and much better than those impersonal pre-packed hampers!

Personally, I would think that would be an excellent idea. I've seen a few Web sites using this idea, mostly when shopping for a baby shower gift, where they have a specific basket (or in some instances a laundry basket or baby tub) which came with a base price for say 3 items, then you could add additional items at a charge of X a piece. Then they would have a list of 10 to 12 items, and you could pick and choose from the items to include as many or as few. The Web site offered minimum-maximum costs for each type of basket, and offered a wide variety of types of baskets (with educational toys/books, or with baby supplies/needs, etc.). It seemed like a great idea, and I think it would be a thoughtful idea for other presents, as well. It's a bit pricy, but I also think they have wonderful gift ideas in the Red Envelope catalog online. Good quality and excellent service, so it's definitely a value, despite the prices.

I am not sure what you are trying to say here but to buy someone an extra special present you would know that person well and pick out something special for them...online or at the store.

I am not sure if it would come in one hand wrapped hamer.
