The connection that I see, is that the communists totally funded and armed by China and the Soviet Union knew that they would win by turning the American Citizens against their government causing to pull out. they negoiated with Nixon and we had a peace for two years. The NOrth then invaded a free nation South Vietnam and knew their would be no American response. The Iran backed terrorists know this and used it in Spain, Britian and that also kept German and France in line by the mere threat of blowing up train stations. Bush is correct in that, the torrorists are well aware that they can sway the Americans public by j
The best thing we can do is to have the Dem take a strong stand and actually put moe troops in Iraq and clean it up once and for all. Then they will know we mean business.

He successfully evaded Viet Nam, started the Iraq war, and outside of the fact that our troops are being kicked in yet another undecalred war there is no comapirson to be made. I feel both he and Bill Clinton have much more incoomon than the 2 wars, as both evaded the war, both traveled to Viet Nam, and neither gave a damn about the unanswered MIA/POW question!

Actually the Vietnam war had more to do with the US intervening in Vietnamese national politics. Under Eisenhower the US fostered and supported a puppet government and attempted to set up a US friendly regieme that was not popularly wanted - THAT is familiar. We entered and occupied a country with no understanding of its history, people and culture - THAT is similar too. The build up into the war was based on falsehoods and deceptions -THAT is familiar and we had no coherant objective or achievable goals - THAT is a connection too. And eventually we lost..........

this is just more proof that George Bush has let the Presidency chew him up so bad it's made him stupid.maybe so much was put on him that it's not his fault.people have been known to snap and lose their mind under pressure.i think it is time to admit it.so i would like to say to him to do what is right and resign.i think it is the right thing to do.other wise the new power will eat up your mistakes and strip away any dignity you might have.it's time to give it up.
