A friend is carrying on a sexual relationship with a married man while they are both away from their home cities. I suspect he thinks the fling is just that, a fling, and will discontinue any contact with her upon his departure. She is hoping they will continue to communicate and she will see him at his home city (not hers) when the opportunity arises.

What do you think?

I think your friend is being used. She is caught up in the moment and is diluding herself into believing the sex is more than just sex. The married man is a player and probably enjoys picking up ladies on a regular basis that he knows he won't be seeing again when they both return to their respective cities. Men don't usually get emotionally attached from sex but women have more of a tendency to form an emotional attachment from sex. You probably can't convince your friend of this though...love is blind and she sees only what she wants to see.

If they really dig each other why not stay in touch? It is easy nowadays. Doesn't mean they will hook up again cuz of the distance issues but they can still talk
