Well there are some many must read books, I will let someone else mention the classic and instead suggest a modern series that everyone should read, young and old alike. That of course being the Harry Potter series.

depends on your taste of books:. Gone With The Wind, Frankenstein, and Little House on The Prairie spring to mind or anything else by Mary Shelley and for the poetry books: Edgar Allen Poe.
