Yes he should have public liability insurance in case he damages your windows, conservatory or something like flowerpots. The main damage would be if he fell of your ladder and landing through your garage roof of course you need insurance. !!!! If they haven't then I would get rid of your window cleaner!!

He should have public liability insurance this covers him if his ladder falls over in the wind and smashes a window or you car, or if something falls off the ladder onto someone or something. But there is no such insurance against him just smashing a window that is down to him to replace.

I found next doors window cleaner looking through MY window, i presume to see if it was worth breaking in!

I think that they are all suspect. whether he is insured or not doesnt matter, sue him anyway for the damage

Very few window cleaners have insurance i know i did'nt, although if anything got broken (never a window) e.g. plantpot or a gate it came out of me own pocket. Luckily it was'nt very often something got broke, but if it's a firm who employ a few people they will be insured it's in their own interest. If you are doubtful ask, and if he is'nt sack him and get a reputable firm, although it will probably cost you more.

Yep i'd continuously choose the main inexpensive as I dont think of they ever do a stable activity I even have made mine come again quite a few cases to redo them earlier cost and that they blame it on blinds being down so they cant see actual sunlight is only too stable etc etc. What does it rely approximately his coverage they do no longer look to be going to pay you if he does a foul activity and that they dont examine his artwork out first earlier giving him a coverage!! i think of the subject is they initiate off artwork in a morning and on their final activity in an afternoon are utilising the comparable cloths from the morning so are only putting greater suitable smears on the residing house windows.

Unless he has a screw loose he'll be insured for Public Liability up to at least £2,000,000 and also have accident insurance! That's one of the reasons he has to charge you a reasonable rate. It's not quite money for old rope these days you know.

yes they do, there climbing up an down ladders all day if one fell an broke somethings how would they pay bills? spose if they did smash a window you could suew them so there another reason for them to have it, every company would be silly not to have insurance even if it is the biggest scam i have ever heard of the amount of loop holes they have to not pay out makes me sick!

Good point, never thought about that. I suppose you just have to claim on your own insurance.
