The next day he texted me asking if I had, had a good night when I said it was great it took him an hour to text back! Why do men take so long to text back?????

9 times out of 10 its just men being men! i have the same problem with my boyfriend, he lives on his computer and ive found that rather than txting him the best way is to email, i get replies straight away! There is also the thought that maybe the guys phone battery was low and that it was being charged.... you shouldnt always think negative thoughts...

Think about what its like for men - they dont get women either. I sent a text to a girl and it took her 3 days to reply. If you only said you had a great night he might not have known what to say. His battery may have died, could have been busy or a whole bunch of other things could have caused him to not text you back quickly. And why do you say ALL men - does it happen to u all the time?? What if its just you???

An hour is really NOT a long time ... if he's got a life that is! And surely, you wouldn't be interested in a man that didn't have a life, would you? You don't want a lap-dog at your command every moment of the day, do you? An hour is a very short amount of time so be complimented that he texted you at all, relax, chill out, get some perspective and don't be so demanding!

Texting isn't a conversation. The replies can wait. If I'm in the middle of something I'm not going to stop it to have a whole text back and forth thing. By the way, "in the middle of something" could mean something like watching a baseball game or something else you ladies might deem unimportant.

Being a man, I think there are several reasons...

Answer A - He doesn't see you in as "prospect" kinda way, maybe he just sees you as a friend.

Answer B - He had to wait for his wife to leave the room.

Answer C - He went to the gym.

Answer D - He was busy - watching the tv, reading the paper on the loo, having a run etc (you get the idea)

An hour doesn't seem very long, really - perhaps he was doing something and didn't get your message for a while.
I have to have my mobile off in work, so if someone texts me in the morning it can sometimes genuinely take me 7 hours to get back to them!!

Some men are just that cr*p at txting back!

Maybe he likes you, and didn't want to hear that you had a great night... If you had said something like, would have been better i you were there, then you might have got a txt back sooner.

They need to get their brain round it first, and you know where a majority of the male brains lay dont you.....thats why it takes so long.

My b'friend takes ages to reply about plans and day to day stuff....you mention the word s.e.x in the text and it guarantees a reply almost instantly.

They try to play it cool. You should do the same. if and when he texts back, dont reply til 7pm tonight. Its a man thing honey, dont worry about it. They feel the need to make themselves feel big by takin the pis* so dont let em. Goodluck. Plus, he has got you mad already, dont bother with him.
