No you will not hurt the baby. It may be a little tough on your body to have extra hormones but that is about it. The birth control pill is just hormones that we all have and we all have different levels (which is why some babies are born with boobies and some aren't) So having extra hormones won't hurt the baby.
Read this, and if you can't trust a study from motherisk you can't trust anybody.

What happens if I was taking oral contraceptives when I was already pregnant?
While no one would intentionally take oral contraceptives if they knew they were pregnant, many women each year inadvertently take pills being unaware they are already pregnant. In the U.S. and Europe, in approximately 2-5% of all pregnancies mothers have a history of having taken birth control pills without realizing they were pregnant. Many years ago, with higher dose contraceptive pills, there were concerns that the hormones in pills could produce genital changes in both male and female babies. Subsequent studies have failed to confirm this. At the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada, the Motherisk program which tracks various birth defects, there is a good article on oral contraceptives and their effect on pregnancy (3). This article suggests that there is no need to be concerned about the pills causing birth defects any more than the background rate of birth defects that normally occurs.

I dont know the correct answer for that but with my first daughter I was on the pill. I missed 1 pill a week before I had sex and then 2 months later found out I was pregnant. Thats why they tell you to take one every day and if you miss one double up. I don't know the whole ovulation thing but I am sure one thing...I got pregnant on the pill and only missed one~!

I was on the pills (also on antibiotics at the time) when I got pregnant for my son. I continued taking my pills for a few weeks until I realized that I was pregnant. My doctor assured me that the baby was fine (and he was).
It's always better to be safe than sorry. If there's a possibility that you may be pregnant, stop taking the pills until you are sure that you're not pregnant.

You can only be pregnant if you were not taking the pill correctly, like on skipping days or taking it on all different times of the day. If you have diahrea or vomits, you must also call your doctor to make sure if you have to take another pill same day or not.
Ask a doctor if it can hurt a baby, but if you REALLY want to avoid babies take it correctly so no one gets hurt or run the risk of having bad surprises.

that is a good question
I personally ,have not heard of any adverse effects to babies from the pill ,
But it is sensible to check this out
if you suspect you may be pregnant, it would be a good idea if also you stop taking that pill now
and
check with the doctor,
who put you on the pill in the first place
To confirm your pregnancy and
to discuss your concerns with him or her ..regarding the Pill
.
All the best to you

I was on the pill when I got pregnant with both my boys. The first one is fine, the second has a hypospadius *small birth defect* on his penis...it means that his pee hole is in the wrong spot. It's easily correctable, but the doc said it MAY have been caused my the hormones in the pills.
So, in other words...if you even think you're preggers, stop taking your pills and go see the doc. Better safe than sorry.

This happened to me I was taking my pills like 3 months after being pregnant.I was missing periods but tests kept showing I wasn`t prg. It was actually almost 5 months before I tested possitive. I was told by my Doc that there was a risk of something being wrong with the babies limbs(hand feet fingers toes). They even offered me a legal abortion (back in 1983). I had my baby he was fine. I think the stress through out my preg worrying about this was worse on me that anything. So don`t worry about it your fine.

You should stop taking the pill immediately if you are pregnant. If you suspect you are pregnant, then you should take a pregnancy test to find out.

I would not think that it would be good for the baby. But if you are pregnant you know. You will get sick your breast will increase in size and you will have pain in them. There are signs that you need to look for and if you think you may be then you should get a test. you could just use a condom and be sure that you will not get pregnant. or an std. good luck.

Very possibly.
Look up your birth control pill information online, and click on the PHYSICIAN INFORMATION, not PATIENT INFORMATION link. That will give you the info you seek.
May cause miscarriage or any number of birth defects.
