First one : - ...Correct! Congratulations!
Second one : - ...hmm could be wrong

(x - 2)^2 = 3/5
x - 2 =+-sqrt3/5
x = 2 +- sqrt3/5

Third one : - hey there is no harm in trying!

(x - 3)^2 = 2
x - 3 = +-sqrt2
x = 3 +-sqrt2

Best of luck!!

The first one looks correct to me.

For the second and third ones, remember -- the exponent comes first in the order of operations (after anything in parens). You have to simplify those equations and then use the quadratic equation to find x. For example, number 2 would be...

5x^2 - 20x + 20 = 3

Then you must put it in the form for solving a quadratic equation...

5x^2 -20x + 17 = 0
