WOw. There are SO many out there. A couple of sites to get you started would be:
http://www.w3schools.com/default.asp (great tutaorials)
http://www.petefreitag.com/item/455.cfm (handy cheatsheets)
http://www.webreference.com/ (good overall site)

If you don't find here what you are looking for, just go to google, and type in _____ tutorial, with the blank being html, css, php, etc.
You will get a ton of hits.

As for books, I swear by ANYTHING by O'Reilly books. They are the ones with the animals on them. I use Web Design in a Nutshell as a good quick reference.

Try searching the net for tutorials and beginners guides - there is a lot of information out there for learners.

It is worth noting that of the languages you listed, only PHP is actually a _programming_ language. HTML and XHTML are markup languages, and CSS is a stylesheet format, not really a language of any kind.

For learning HTML properly, one of the best tutorials is Mark Tranchant's at http://tranchant.plus.com/web/html-tutorial/

The problem with HTML goodies is that they teach some very bad habits - and stuff that seems difficult to unlearn when you want to be producing websites to web standards.
