Holy smokes, I thought this was a sex question, I didn't realize that everyone here was quite so dysfunctional. Makes you wonder about the advice one receives here doesn't it.

Yes. I got involved with the wrong group of people. I wound up with a guy that ruined my credit, wouldn't work, abused me, abused alcohol and drugs, and then I wound up pregnant with his kid. My mom had a stroke and was sent 3 hours away to a hospital to recover. I couldn't go see her because I was STUCK with this asshole who wouldn't work and I barely had enough money to pay the rent let alone take time off work and spend money on a 3 hour roadtrip. I felt like I had nobody and I was alone and broke and pregnant. When my daughter was born, I had to have him kicked out of the hospital room because he started making out with a friend of ours that had come up to visit RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. Imagine the worst episode of Jerry Springer you've ever watched, and throw in a couple nurses. And there you have it. That was my daughter's birth story. THe minute I looked into my daughter's face though I knew it wasn't completely hopeless and not only COULD I improve my life- I HAD TO DO IT FOR HER. I left the asshole and it was hard, but I'm on my own two feet now- raising my child without any help from him (We haven't even heard from him in a couple years) and things are looking up. The only place to go from rock bottom is back up to the top again. Remember that.

Yes I've reached bottom. I'm a recovering drug addict. There isn't a bottom lower than the one I've hit.

Thank GOD for helping me.

Hope you're not at rock bottom, we are hear to listen if you need us.

Yes, when me and my husband separated I felt like I had hit rock bottom. I'm happy now because it took me a while to realize that life goes on and I have to continue to live my life and take care of my daughter which is most important.

Rock bottom, yes, a few months ago... but now I'm all better, and hopefully will never reach that dreaded place again.

You bet. When I was 16 I had a nervous breakdown of monumental proportions, thanks to Bi-Polar/Schizophrenia. I had to be admitted to the psychiatric ward at our local hospital and I had to be restrained to the bed because I was considered a suicide risk. I'm 28 and very much fine now, but that day, that moment was when I crashed to the bottom.
