Unfortunately, astrology can not give you the definate answers that you are looking for. That isn't how astrology works. It's more of a road map than an exact future predictior. It's where you could be going, not where you will.
What you can do is go to www.astro.com and make yourself a birth chart. (You need the location as long as time/date). From that, you can start to piece together what your nature is. Start with the planets and what signs they are in. (I recommend Google for all of this searching, because Yahoo! seems to leave out quite a few good websites while Google has everything). Then you can search about what planets are in which house (for example, Venus in the 5th house or something along those lines).
To find the answers to your specific question, look at the 10th house, 6th house, and your Midheaven. The 6th house will tell you how you work. Your 10th house is the house of public images and careers, and your Midheaven should be quite close to it if not right in the middle of it. That will tell you what career you would be good at.
As for how long you will live, I have seen a few instances where people look to the 8th house to see about death. 8th house is known as the house of sex, death, and taxes. Having certain planets in there may indicate a certain type of death. Uranus in the 8th would mean there could be unusual circumstances around death. Mars means that there could be a short life. Having Jupiter in the 8th would be the most beneficial, since Jupiter is a benefic (good luck) planet. All you have to do is search. Some websites won't mention anything about 8th house and death, others will.

most people would give anything to know their future but what they dont realise is to know your own future ruins it and changes it and becomes the same as it was before with you not knowing how it ends. if you knew the bad things you would chose a different choice take different chances and end up back here again asking the same question. my advice enjoy your life the way it is take the good with the bad and enjoy the mystery and suprise that comes with life cause you wont get another chance.
