In dealing with an ex - I suggest you treat them the way you want to be treated. That is how I try to be. Remember, it is about the KIDS!! As long as you put the kids first and try to get along, things should work. Try not to be petty and grudge holding. Things can work out.

You need to be polite and have respect but at the same time a firm upper hand or grip on the situation or he will walk all over you and the advice goes out to him the same way. A divorced couple very rarely see eye to eye and you have to stay one step a head of the game all the knowing the other feels the same way. It is foolish in a way but it is how it happens. Do not forget the attorneys are a phone call away and will give advice for most anything and never turn to violence to solve a problem. I have been divorced almost 6 years and wow ...he has the ability to drive me crazy to this day!!

Deal in what respect? You need more information. Are you talking about property, money or just moving in the same circles.

Probably the worste stage your husband could be in is compulsive obsessive love. In any case, do not give him comeback hope he is striving for. Keep your distance, play wisely and let time do the rest with his mental pendulum.

Well if you have kids together he will always be in your life no matter what, and you need to be civilized about your situation with your kids. On the other hand if you don't have kids ,,,, well just give him the boot.

About what? I'd need more information. How long ago did you separated? Kids? Is he stalking you? Etc.

Politely. If you want more than that you need to be more specific in your question, but politeness always serves well.
