Somewhere in the south-west for weather reasons - it's also really pretty there.

Apologies to everyone but the correct answer is actually Brighton.

We've got the sea to the south, and countryside and rolling hills to the north. There are so many fantastic places to eat, drink and be entertained - on any given night, no matter what you fancy doing, it's on somewhere in Brighton.

I moved here ten years ago and can't ever see myself moving anywhere else (at least not in this country). It's possibly the least judgemental place I've ever lived, to the extent that it's actually qutie difficult to shock people here (although people do still try!)

The majority of my friends have all migrated here at some point in the last ten years from other places and all have stayed. Maybe for different reasons, but with the same passion.

Leeds because it's really friendly, really clean and pretty and loads to do.

Birmingham because again it's really friendly, amazing shopping and loads of theatres, galleries and music venues as well as the pubs and clubs. Ooh, and loads of foreign food restaurants if you like to try new things.

London because those loads to do and it seems to be where everything is based. There are some really nice parts and it can be really impressive to look around, but it's very segmented and the people would sooner stab you then smile at you. I know, I live there.

Depends what you want

London has the night life etc but is expensive
Leeds has much that London has, and is cheaper
Devon is great for countryside, beaches, and is only a couple of hours from London by train.

definately yorkshire without a doubt, then pick the area depending on what kind of place you want to live in: big and busy cities, to teeny tiny villages, modern or full of history, in the country or by the sea...

For you ... Todmorden, Lancashire... full of spiritual healing things....

Otherwise, if you just want to be safe and happy and live like it was 30 years ago, The Isle of Wight,...it's warmer too!
