I was shocked to discover one of my neighbours, legs akimbo, in last month's Readers Wives section of a well known adult magazine. I know for a fact that she is not married to the man she's shacked up with. Should I go to the Police?

Thanks

Call 911 and tell the police what happened.

Don't you think that the Police may have better things to look into?

The term 'readers wives' does not mean they have to be a wife - provided she owns the pictures, is over 18 and consents to the pictures being used! Some people don't use their real names/locations for publication purposes - to avoid unpleasant reactions from narrow minded neighbours! I bet a large number of the 'reader letters' where bloke A and his 13 inch man-stick s£%$ed three barmaids on the pool table down the local pub, or fixed the plumbing of some nympho rich bird are untrue or wildly exaggerated...

I doubt if the police would consider this to be a heinous crime...The magazines have a consent and payment process and hold the information required by law. You have to send in a copy of your drivers license before they even consider the photos for publication.

Why are you shocked to see this woman when you clearly read the mag, knowing the content was likely to be little else than models and/or readers wives with legs akimbo.I don't think it's fair to be shocked because your neighbour happens to be one of the girls on display!

What do you want the police to do? The picture was not offensive enough to be banned, so I do not see what s/he has done wrong. Also, you assume that s/he sent the picture in, when it might be a dumped boyfriends passing shot. If it was an illegal picture - children/animals it would not have been published and the first you would have known about it was when the police raided, following a complaint from the magazine.

I doubt that the magazine would complain because there is no marriage certificate - long term partner seems to cover the same bases and all the publishers are interested in is a juicy picture.

In short, get a life/grow up/get out more.

You bloody hypocrite! Don't buy the magazine if you are going to report people to the police....as for her not being married that's her business....all the Police could charge her with is under the trades description act...she is not a Readers WIFE cos she ain't married.

Appearing in the magazine isn't illegal. You could report the magazine under the trade-descriptions act for her not being a wife, contrary to the title of the magazine. Pedantic people of the world unite!

sure, i'd. The police would probable not arrest him because it is gonna be extra of a medical or psychological difficulty for him. The detention will be extra for his welfare. If not, after many years of sniffing glue he would get some variety of authorities suggestion when you consider that sniffing that stuff will fry his mind.

Why would you want to go to the police, you were reading the mag for a start if you did not know this woman you would not have given it a second thought, you need to STOP being so self righteous

mind your own business! its not against the law to live with someone with out being married to them. and if she wants to be in that magazine that's her business she's over 18 and its not against the law to pose for those magazines. its people like you that have nothing else to do but stick your nose where it doesn't belong!!! how about someone go to the police you bought the magazine, would you like that???

No you shouldn't. The police wouldn't care.

It's a free country. If she wants to pose in a adult magazine, then that is her right. It's the same right you have to buy the magazine.

For what??? how many "Husbands" do you think actually send in pics of their wives to mags like that? and you'd have to take the mag with you as evidence and say "I was looking through this porno mag when I saw the lady next door whose not married"
.
Another thing how do you know what she looks like in that position????
