1GB equals 1024 MB as 1024 is 2 at the power of 10.
The same couts for Bytes to KBytes, KBytes to MBytes, GBytes to TBytes.
1KB = 2^10 B (Kilo Byte)
1MB = 2^20 B = 2^10 KB (Mega Byte)
1GB = 2^30 B = 2^20 КB = 2^10MB (Giga Byte)
1TB = 2^40 B = 2^30 КB = 2^20MB = 2^10GB (Tera Byte)
Byte and bit should not be mistaken as 1B=8b (bite is "B" and bit is "b").

the sufixes and prefixes are the same as in all physics, but instead of 1000 there in 1024, which is 2^10.
1 Mb=1024 bites
