You can tell by the pattern on the outside...the "C" is formed in a copyrighted way, the leather, etc. and inside....there is a tag with a serial number on it. Coaches can only be bought at a Coach store or authorized dealers like Macy's, Saks Fifth Ave., etc. A Coach bag usually starts at about $150...for the smaller bag. The medium to large bag starts at about $250 Larger bags and totes go up to $800......Never buy off the street or at a flea market...they are not real. Even online....unless it is the Official Coach website....they are NOT real.

listen, I worked in a bag dept in a high end dept store and we sold balenciagas, chloe's, the usual, and WE had a hard time telling the difference when people brought them into us. The lining of the bag, the zips used on the inside and the bottom of the bag are the best places to check. Go to the coach web site, check the interiors of the bags there and compare it to yours. Or else go into an actaul store that sells them and examine the inside of the bag. Although, tbh, if you have to go to all that trouble to tell if it's fake or not, does it really matter? Coz nobody else will be able to tell!! And I wouldn't think that many people would be too interested in buying a fake coach bag, coz they ain't that expensive to begin with!!

You have to study a lot. All the guides on eBay, like the other posters' one and even more. You have to look at everything online and touch & examine the ones in the store. Fakes are really easy to spot with Coach, actually. The Cs have to align really well, etc. Some fake bags were never made by Coach, too. In person, it MUST be easier, but I don't know from that. In addition to studying, you can get endless amounds of INVALUABLE help from people at eBay's purses message board! Please refer to my sources.

Its really hard to tell the difference between the real thing and the knock off when it comes to coach. Unless the C's are obvious G's which Ive seen sometimes. There are other designer bags out there that are hard to tell if its real or fake. I would say to mostly look at the texture of the bag. The knock off sometimes look they were constructed from cheaper material.

if it is indeed a coach outlet in a mall, theyre not fake but theyre from a few seasons ago a real coach purse will also come with a peice of paper explaining that its a genuin coach purse. if she got it from a 'purse party', or a store that sells a bunch of 'designer' things for suuuper cheap, its fake

I've worked with some shops before and the beneath one specific is considered to be the most popular. They have a lot of different jerseys as well as rare kinds that you would not buy from other shops. The quality and service is the top one you would find online with such a low price. With this dealer, I believe you would not disappoint you or your customers.

A good discussion on fake coach bags and how to recognize them is on EBay at the following web site:

Hope this helps!

Strength of the leather. Fakes use harder, cheaper leather (mainly because it gives most profit).
